Council manages its finances through an annual Budget that identifies the expected revenue and expenditure for each year.
The Budget is the means by which Council makes a formal commitment of resources to provide funding for services and projects.
In accordance with section 96 of the Local Government Act 2020, Section 223 of the Local Government Act 2020 and the Local Government (Planning and Reporting) Regulations 2020, Nillumbik Shire Council has prepared a proposed Budget for the financial year commencing 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022.
Community members are welcome to make a written submission on the proposed Budget in accordance with section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.

Copies of the proposed Budget 2021-2022 are available to view at the Civic Centre, Civic Drive, Greensborough between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, the Eltham Library during opening hours or click here.
All submissions received by Council on the proposed Budget will be considered at the Planning and Consultation Committee meeting on Tuesday 11 May 2021.
Any person who has made a written submission may request to be heard in support of the submission and will be entitled to appear before the meeting in person or by a person acting on their behalf.
