Thank you to everyone who provided their feedback on the draft Green Wedge Management Plan.

The Green Wedge Management Plan - November 2019 was adopted at the Ordinary Meeting of Council on 26 November 2019.

GWMP Bulletin 6 contains a summary of key changes made to the Draft Green Wedge Management Plan in response to the community's feedback.

Now that the GWMP has been adopted, annual implementation plans will be prepared. Priorities will be determined every four years through the Council Plan and prior to the four-yearly review of the Nillumbik Planning Scheme.

Background:

Over the last 18 months, many of you have shared your ideas and knowledge to help us understand:

What is the best way for us to manage Nillumbik's Green Wedge, now and in the future?

In the final stage of consultation from July to August 2019, the community provided feedback on the draft Green Wedge Management Plan.

  • A summary of all the submissions received was presented to Council at Future Nillumbik Meetings on 10 and 11 September 2019.
  • Verbatim Submissions are also available on the Agendas and Minutes page of the Council website (under 10th November). Please note: Due to volume of submissions received, responses are only available electronically and have been separated into five volumes.
  • Council considered all submissions received and used the feedback to inform the development of the final Green Wedge Management Plan.
