The Shire of Nillumbik is a place to live, work, retire, learn, play and ultimately, age well. From Greensborough to Strathewen, Yarrambat to Christmas Hills, Nillumbik's older population actively participates in community life.

The Australian Psychological Society (2012) describes Positive Ageing as "the process of maintaining a positive attitude, feeling good about yourself, keeping fit and healthy, and engaging full in life as you age". Council's commitment to a positive ageing approach aims to empower older people within our community to make informed choices about their lifestyle, wellbeing, health and care, and supports them in realising these choices.

By delivering our Positive Ageing Information Sessions on a range of topics and interests, we hope to educate our community on ways to live well and age even better.
