Thank you for your feedback
We appreciate all your input into the concept plans on ANZAC Memorial Park and aim to present this as a dual purpose space that is attractive and caters as a memorial site and playspace.
ANZAC Memorial Park will continue to be a place where people can meet, reflect, play and have fun.
Feedback has now closed.
What we heard
We received more than 200 submissions on the park, with feedback indicating a strong interest in retaining a dual purpose area. We have considered this feedback in drafting our concept plan, and while the primary function of the space as a memorial site will remain, we are pleased to announce the new concept plan includes a playspace.
The first phase of consultation revealed new elements for inclusion, in order of preference:
- nature play
- additional seating
- musical/ sensory play and
- ANZAC memorial theme inclusions.
The proposed new playspace reflects the above key themes. The proposed playspace is bigger than the current one and features brand new equipment including a slide, nature play and a climbing structure in a colour scheme more in keeping with Hurstbridge’s aesthetic.
We also propose new seating and paving, among other features.
