Council manages its finances through an annual Budget that identifies the expected revenue and expenditure for each year. The Budget is the means by which Council makes a formal commitment of resources to provide funding for services and projects. The draft Annual Budget has been prepared in conjunction with the Council Plan and Strategic Resource Plan.


The draft Budget 2020 – 2021 was exhibited for public consultation from Thursday 26 March 2020 to Sunday 26 April 2020.


Opportunity for Council to hear verbal submissions may be restricted at the present time, although the draft budget is currently scheduled to be considered at the Future Nillumbik Committee on 12 May 2020.

The full content of a submission made on behalf of an organisation in relation to Council’s draft Budget 2020-2021, including the name of the organisation is a public record and may be made available for public inspection and included in Council business papers.
