Have your say on the concept plan for the new dog park

As part of our commitment to providing quality parks and open spaces for the whole community, we’re excited that a dog park is coming to Eltham Lower Park.

The dog park will be located in the open space previously leased to the horse and pony club.

It will include two separate areas for small/quiet and large/active breeds with natural play elements, shelters and seating, drinking stations and dog-safe fencing.

Equipment such as tunnels or obstacles could be added. There would also be a 90 metre straight, fenced greyhound run.

Other features of the proposal includes a dog park viewing area with shelters and seating and path connections.

Next steps

Council will review the feedback and also consider verbal submissions at the Planning and Consultation Committee Meeting on Tuesday 14 November 2023.
