Did you make it to the Topping Out Ceremony at Eltham North Adventure Playground on 1 November?

Many thanks to all the kids who helped decorate the wreath that Cr John Dumaresq affixed to the roof to bring good luck for the rest of the build and the future of the playground.

Thanks too to Bunnings Warehouse Australia and Eltham Men's Shed Incorporated for running the barbecue.

We're looking forward to an even bigger celebration when the playground build is complete!

For those who missed it, a Topping Out Ceremony is an ancient tradition which celebrates reaching a building’s structural milestone. For us it is the roof going onto the main structure. A sprig or wreath is attached to the top of a new building to bring good luck for the rest of the build and the future of the structure.

If you weren’t able to make it along to the Topping Out Ceremony, the official opening of the Adventure Playground will be at Christmas. More details to follow.
