Thank you for providing your feedback.

The Hurstbridge Skate Park is receiving an upgrade.

The upgrade aims to provide key benefits to the community through provision of an improved facility which is safe, accessible and functional catering to the needs of the growing skate and BMX community.

Part of the project will involve the removal of the Hurstbridge mini-ramp. Last August Council resolved to undertake this project via Federal Funding (Local Roads Community Infrastructure.) The reason it was nominated as a project and agreed to by Council was:

  • Current mini ramp is poorly located from a visibility/surveillance, amenity, movement and safety perspective.
  • Current mini ramp has reached the end of its life.
  • New skate park will provide an upgraded experience for skaters in a better location with required amenities. It also consolidates skate facilities together in one site.

Supporting infrastructure will also feature to facilitate important social opportunities for users of the skate park and broader park.

We will share results of the feedback in coming weeks.
