Revenue and Rating Plan 2021-2025
In accordance with section 96 of the Local Government Act 2020 and the Local Government (Planning and Reporting) Regulations 2020, Nillumbik Shire Council has prepared the Revenue and Rating Plan 2021-2025.
Commencing 1 July 2021 it provides a medium-term plan for how Council will generate income to deliver on the Council Plan, program and services and capital works commitments over a 4-year period. It establishes the revenue raising framework within which the Council proposes to work.
Council provides a number of services and facilities to our local community, and in doing so, must collect revenue to cover the cost of providing these services and facilities.
The most important sources of these funds are:
- general rates
- government grants
- fees and charges.
