Consultation for Getting to School Safely has now concluded.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the review of pedestrian safety around schools, kindergartens, pre-schools and child care centres throughout the Shire.
In total, Council received a total of 144 submissions from 70 respondants. These responses resulted in the identification of 88 sites across the municipality where Nillumbik residents had concerns regarding the safety of pedestrians accessing schools and preschools, or locations where drop off facilities might be improved.
Council has reviewed the 88 sites identified and prepared responses to each of the issues.
The full responses are available in the Consultation Summary.
Where an issue identified is the responsibility of another authority (ie VicRoads/another Local Government Authority), Council will forward the concerns raised for their consideration.
