Thank you for providing feedback on the draft Budget 2024 - 2025
The budget 2024 -2025 provides resources for the ongoing delivery of Council services, delivery of Council Plan actions and for the development and maintenance of infrastructure throughout the Shire.
It sets the rates and charges for the next financial year and outlines spending including major capital works projects.
Any increase in rates must be within the rate cap set by the Minister for Local Government, which for 2024-25 is 2.75 per cent.
Major capital works projects proposed across the Shire include:
- $4.9 million on road and carpark works, drainage and works to existing buildings
- $345,000 to focus on renewal work to public open space areas and playgrounds
- $4.11 million on work to continue the Kangaroo Ground landfill rehabilitation
$647,000 has been allocated to ensure the successful completion of major capital projects at Ryans Reserve and Alistair Knox Park.
Other major projects proposed for the budget are:
- $350,000 Yarrambat carpark upgrades
- $60,000 Cricket Pitch Synthetic Replacement and Covers
- $85,000 Coventry Oval large net screens
